Our History
This five-acre blueberry field has been in the family since 1999, and it has been managed as an organic field since then. Up until 2006 the berries were harvested by a contracting crew and sold to a blueberry factory. In 2006 we began harvesting some of them ourselves and selling them fresh. Every year, we have devoted more effort and time into the harvest and marketing, and the past couple of years we have be able to harvest and sell all of the berries fresh, frozen, or in our jams and pies.
When berries are harvested and sent to the factory, they are all raked within a few days, and then the berries are gone. We stretch out harvest out to four to seven weeks each year, as we want to provide fresh berries to our customers over a long period.
